Star wars rant. In Empire, Alec Guinness is the force ghost chatting with Luke. In Lucas' super-amped-up-extra-special-refangled-new-master-remastered-blah-blah-edition - it's Hayden Christenson, instead of...er... old Vader guy. So, I've been trying to apply some logic to this, disregarding that this is retooling and making things seemingly more integrated by Lucas, I've been trying to look at it inside the fiction and apply some reasoning. So, it's younger Darth, I guess the argument here is that it's BEFORE Anakin turned. Except, he flipped back at the end of Jedi. So, is the force ghost similar to Morpheus explanation of "a residual image of your digital self" kind of thing, where it's how a force user see's themself? Basically when they're the most pimpin'? Does that mean Alec Guinness' Obi Wan was like, "yeah, I'm rocking shit as an old man, I'll go with this." And Vader was more like, "I should've been less arm and legless... I'll go back to when I wasn't" Anyway, I'm asking a lot of questions about myself this holiday season.
