Well, it's at this point that the real idiosyncrasies of house watching come into effect. Case in point: A shower triggers the smoke alarm if you leave the door open too long.
Heheh, hopefully the neighbors enjoy the view of my twig and berries as I had to shut it off a good number of times. Not the most attractive pose, I assure you.
Also, the dog. Oh that sweet little poodly dog. Seems Shulie likes to have his morning constitutional very very early. Like 3:30am early. Then again at 5.
Good thing I'm on vacation.
As for the cats, yeah, they're pretty darn self sufficient. "Hey, you guys need anything?"
"No," they say, "Not right now, on a tight schedule of sleeping downstairs/upstairs/couch/floor/hallway closely followed with sleeping on the hallway/floor/couch and downstairs."
Cats.

That smoke detector is very touchy.
May have to unplug it when doing certain things.
Now get back to swinging them berries.
