To anyone who may understand - I impulsively went into value village on my hike home tonight - and lo and behold in the glass counter was a pristine edition of Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston's seminal book - The Illusion of Life. For 20 bucks. 20. Bucks. As in dollars. I was meant to find it. I expect all of my animator friends and artists to virtually high five me.
