I've been back and forth from Vancouver to Toronto a few times in the last five years. Every year, as winter approaches, I ask "So, what's the average temp in the winter here?" The first year, (4 years ago) the response was "well, pretty mild now, we hardly saw any snow last winter." That was the year, it turned out, for record snowfalls. Now this year. Pushing -40C. Starting to think Ontario has no average, and seriously I need to stop asking.
