Steven Spielberg is my absolute hero. He has contributed notes to films not his own, that have elevated them past what they would have been. For example, at the end of "How To Train Your Dragon" when Hiccup awakes from his coma, Hiccup was to wake alone and walk to the door only then to discover the world changed from his endeavors. Spielberg's note? "Have Toothless be there when Hiccup awakes." A subtle difference, but emotionally gigantic. Spielberg also directed the Lightsaber fight in Revenge of the Sith. This is why there's such a tonal shift during that sequence and personally, the only reason "Sith" gets barely a passing grade. His note on Paranormal Activity is pretty infamous now - he altered the ending. what did we get? A franchise that is still running today. Pretty amazing to be alive and able to watch the career of a living legend, who will be studied long after he's gone.
